For all the bug and typo reports that are too small to deserve their own thread.

---------------------------------[ BAT FORM ]----------------------------------
Power category : Vampire
Power availability : You don't fulfill the requirements for this power
Method of purchase : During gameplay or character creation
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Required powers : Ears of the Bat 5+
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This power allows the vampire to transform into a swarm of bats. In Bat Form
you gain +1 Size for each rank you have in this power, with Size representing
the size of the swarm. In addition, your movement speed is increased to 66.
As with all shapechanging powers, you have a separate inventory and equipment
set while in this form.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When you don't fulfill the requirements, the req should be coloured RED, not CYAN.

Edit: it seems to colour the reqs correctly if you don't have a single rank in that power, but since I have 1 in Ears of the Bat, it is coloured cyan in this case.

Everywhere (for future reference only): Sentences are separated by one space, not two. I know this is some weird thing some teachers tell kids in the UK, since I have argued about it with UK people before, but it's just not correct. ;)

Two spaces are actually 'more' correct than one, although now that we're out of the typewriter era the rule isn't so strict any more. Try doing some searches and you'll find info like:

http://www.answers.com/topic/full-stop

"In typewritten texts and other documents printed in uniform-width fonts, there is a convention among laymen that two spaces are placed after the full stop (along with the other sentence enders: question mark and exclamation mark), as opposed to the single space used after other punctuation symbols."

http://encyclopedia.laborlawtalk.com/Full_stop

"In typewritten texts and other documents printed in uniform-width fonts, two spaces are generally placed after the full stop, as opposed to one space as after most other punctuation symbols...In modern English language typographical usage, some debate has arisen around the proper number of trailing spaces after a full stop to separate sentences within a paragraph. Whereas two spaces are still regarded generally by experts to be the more proper usage for monospace typefaces, the inability of most keyboards and word processing software to correctly represent the 1.5 spaces that had previously become standard for typographically proportional (non-monospace) fonts has led to some confusion about how to space between sentences while using word processing tools. Academic usage descriptivists tend to support the notion that a single space after a full stop should be considered standard because of the growing common usage by non-experts. Prescriptivists, meanwhile, adhere to the earlier, and in many ways more practically useful, two space distinction of full stop spacing from spacing within a sentence."

Guess that makes me an academic, then. Okay. ;)

Xiphias tells you, 'Bug: when you do a power drop, it free's a slot, when you use the free slot, it doesn't fill it, just add the point.

I can't see why it would do this, nor can I repeat it.

Perhaps he lowered a power sufficiently that he no longer fulfilled the requirements of another power, and therefore received more than one free slot?

This happened while in formair. I seemed to be stuck in non-magic mode.

This happened in the dojo today. Edited out my prompts.

quote:

You prepare to perform a counter-attack with your naginata.
The orange-sash martial artist clenches his right hand into a fist.

The orange-sash martial artist opens his left hand, palm facing outwards.

The orange-sash martial artist extends the knuckles of his right fist.

The orange-sash martial artist raises his left hand into a defensive guard.

You block his blow with your naginata.
The orange-sash martial artist spins around on the polished floor and sweeps your legs out from under you.

Your roll your naginata past the orange-sash martial artist's guard and counter-attack!
You slash your naginata into the orange-sash martial artist's side, drawing blood.
You crash to the polished floor.
The orange-sash martial artist moves his left hand into a soft blocking position.

I don't know, I guess maybe he had an attack going off on both hands, but it looks like I blocked a sweep and still got knocked off my feet. I dunno. Bah, I'll post this anyway and let wiser heads than mine sort it out.

Fael gives us this, from a fight in water form.

quote:

One foot east of you, the dire wolf hurtles into you, knocking you off your feet.
You twist your body around in midair.

You twist your body around in midair.
You crash to the ground.

This may be how this is supposed to work, but if you circle into a wall it clears your target.

This may be intentional, but it doesn't make much sense: Some techniques that have an effect other than damage(in particular, wwl with a whip) have to get through resistance and armour to work. Doesn't seem like it should bounce off their armour or thick fur when it's wrapping around their leg.

Mages are missing the pwf (Armor) technique.

You drive a right jab into the dire lion's stomach

Missing an ending period... think it's the stomach not the jab necessarily, because the other jabs seem to do fine.
