This thread is to inform people who is abusing the "no rules" rule and hopefully help people avoid being driven off by spammers.
This thread is dedicated to Acee and his alts, who inspired it.
Acee will use multiple characters to spam, and when you ignore that character he will log on another to do it some more. Verified Acee alts: Ace, Aaaaaaa, Mageface, SmartDemon, SmartMan, Administrate, Monkey, Monkeymaster, Cocksucker. The best thing you can do is ignore this person, talking to him just makes it worse.
Another insidious tactic of his, he will make characters with similar names to others, and spam with those. Kaviir, KaVirr, KaVVir, Pygmaalion, Pygmalon, Pygmallion, Pygmalin are good examples. Please read names carefully, so you don't end up talking to acee's alt. It's happened to me.
Now for the conversation that inspired this thread.

Here's a suggestion that people seemed to favor:
Rename the prisoner NPC that newbies beat up into Acee.
The effects are obvious and beneficual.

yea I just read the new post by Pygmalion... About that huge chat log, you know it's here when I ask him to start up his mud and you guys to crash it repeatedly.

| I would like to make a point about spamming in the Practice Area. Obviously this is an easy way to raise skills, but the same thing can be done in almost all situations in a person's own home plane. I was wondering if something might be done to prevent bots from constantly inhabiting the Practice area and spamming the dummy. I've heard the complaint, and personally seen a person confused into quitting by constant combat spam in the first area the game directs them to. Just for the consideration of people who don't have their configurations setup yet...Please stay out of the damn Practice Area if you're not testing damage |
